Today is National Hot Fudge Sundae Day, and there is no reason that we low-carbers and keto-eaters should be left out, right?
By definition, a hot fudge sundae consists of 4 elements (depending on who you ask): ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry on top! For an occasional treat or celebration – like today! – we have our ways to do it! So I found a few recipes that may help us all out!
First, the ice cream. This one is easy and doesn’t require special equipment, plus we all probably have the ingredients in our kitchens right now!
For the hot fudge, I went for easy, and it doesn’t get any easier than this recipe! There are plenty of recipes with a list of ingredients that would necessitate a trip to the market…but not today. Today is for celebrating, not shopping, right? So I went for this easy chocolate sauce over a more complicated (and pricey!) thick fudge. (But if you want thick fudge, this recipe might be worth a try!)
If you haven’t made sugar-free whipped cream before, there aren’t many recipes that are easier! This one is pretty standard and works very well in a lot of dessert applications!
And for the cherry on top? You’re on your own for that one!
ENJOY!
Please note that I have tried this ice cream or sauce – YET! It isn’t even lunch time here! But I wanted to get the recipes out to you so you have plenty of time to prepare your sundae today!
