Eating for Inflammation & Disease Control

<skip to the latest entry on this page>

Hey, I’m not about selling anything BUT I wanted to share what Dr. Shawn Baker has to say here. I don’t know anything about Revero, but I DO know that the rest of what he says is absolutely TRUE!

On this page you will find what I have learned, my experiences living with multiple disease processes, how I have been able to help myself, and the new things I am discovering along the way.

An introduction to Judy Cho

I am a fan. I have watched numerous videos with Judy Cho and have read umpteen articles as well as much on her site. And one thing clearly shines through, more than anything else: She is totally devoted to helping people overcome chronic illness. In her own words, “I got a second chance at life with my faith and the Carnivore Cure’s all-meat elimination diet.* I now want to give back by finding tools to help you get your second chanceβ€”because everyone deserves a life they were meant to live, nearly symptom-free. It’s time to say goodbye to chronic illness and get back our health.”

“Judy is the People’s Nutritionist, as her heart will always advocate for the people. She believes in wellness for all and will make her content accessible for every single person.”

Judy’s Articles

This channel is dedicated to those grappling with chronic illness and eager for a profound changeβ€”yes, this channel is for those who are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Here, you will find various wellness tips from my clinical practice, rigorous evidence-based research, and subject matter interviews with leading psychology, science and medicine experts.”

You can start getting to know more about Judy’s work (and amazing successes!) using the above links as well as checking out her podcast, “Nutrition With Judy” on your favorite podcast app; these will lead you to learn about other similar practioners as well!

* a quote from her business site: “…we believe in bio individuality and meet clients and patients where they are. While being strictly carnivore is not the only path to healing, we do require the inclusion of animal-based foods as they are essential for optimal health…”

The first couple of tips have been a good place for me to start – or go back to – numerous times! They are the 3 biggest things that have helped me to work out issues or to back up to see what went wrong at times.

  1. Eat only single ingredient foods. Especially when trying to figure things out – if I had an inflammatory response but I’m not sure what caused it, or I have a new issue starting and need to stop it in its tracks – I go back to this. I only wish I’d known about it in the beginning when I first started on this path! Eliminating all additives, dyes, spices, flavorings, seasonings, herbs, etc. right from the get-go has been my shortest path to what I needed to know: what doesn’t hurt me!
  2. This goes along with the first, but has subtle differences: If a food has ingredients, I don’t eat it until I’m at the point where I KNOW that food. The subtlety here is that ANY ingredients – including as “natural” – ones can be suspect. See rule #1.

These 2 things make up a BIG part of controlling my inflammation as well as overall health. I’m not a healthy person and have numerous issues, some life-threatening; but minimizing their effect on my body is what I am all about, and knowing exactly what is going into my body is what it takes to have a handle on it all.
